Fryctorias throughout Asia

Built by Ancient Greeks during their expeditions to the east (Dionysos, ~ 3,000 BC?, etc)

They are stations for transportation purposes, resting places with water, etc through difficult terrain, like deserts

1,650 BC : end of Minoan civilization, the "Sea Peoples" of ancient Egyptians. No skeletons or gold
found at Akrotiri, Santorini or Minoan cities on Crete. That means people evacuated before
final catastrophic blast. Unlike the citizens of Saint Pierre, Martinique who were obliged to
stay put to vote in the election and were caught in the volcanic eruption and thus perished.

What happened?

Eruption of the volcano at Santorini. Probably a phreatic eruption with generation of tsunamis that devastated Crete and caused the sea to retreat on the Egyptian coast (facilitated the exit of Jews from Egypt?)

The above disaster put Santorini people as well as many of the Minoans out to sea on boats. Where did they go?
Of course, they wanted to go somewhere far away. When you witness such a catastrophe unfold in front of you and you survive, you will not stick around any longer. You will go FAR away.

No doubt, some of the survivors decided then to explore far-away places. They were already long range marines who had been right across the Mediterranean. The far-reaching effects of the tsunamis prompted them to go beyond the closed sea.

On the other side of the Atlantic the ARRIVAL of the first American settlers took place just a few decades later:

1,200 BC
An approximate date of 1,200 BC is given for the first appearance of the Olmecs in central America.
